Oh god, not again! Mitsubishi did the same mistake with the new ASX (it was presented last September as a rebadged Renault Captur) and now it presented the new Colt as a rebadged Renault Clio! The new car will be available in European market and it will be manufactured completely by Renault in Bursa, Turkey.
My questions are simple: How all of these things are happening? Why is it difficult for Mitsubishi to make a car for EU market with 100% Mitsubishi DNA, like is doing it for US & AU markets? Except the rebadged Renaults, the only Mitsubishi model that is available currently in EU market is a compact SUV that some years ago used to be a performance coupe (you can call me Eclipse).
So, in this render I'll show you how the new Colt could look like: It could be based on Nissan Note E13 (the new generation of Note unveiled in 2021 and it's available only in Japanese market) with different front & side design, inspired by other Mitsu's models and plug-in hybrid / electric options, that they could make it eco-friendly for EU market.
